Yureekka/Science Kerala Knowledge Festival

Report on Yureekka/Science Kerala Knowledge Festival [18th November 2023].

I had voluntary worked as an invigilator for the Yureekka/Science Kerala Knowledge Festival organized by Kerala Sasthra Sathiya Parishath.

Today marked as the commencement of the Yureekka/ Science Kerala Knowledge Festival, an event aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and knowledge among students. As a volunteer invigilator, I had the privilege of contributing to the smooth conduct of the festival.

**Schedule:*

*Morning:*

I arrived at the GMLPS Thycaud, at 9:30pm to prepare for the day’s activities. The examination briefing session conducted by the event coordinators, familiarizing volunteers with their roles and responsibilities. The participants belonged to the high schools of Trivandrum district.

I had managed the registration desk, welcoming and guiding participants as they arrived. Oversaw the examination hall, ensuring a conducive environment for the smooth conduct of all those activities. I assisted in distributing examination papers and monitoring the examination process to maintain fairness and integrity. I addressed any queries or concerns raised by participants or fellow volunteers.Engaged in a debriefing session with other volunteers to discuss the day’s proceedings, highlighting areas of improvement and successes.Collaborated with the organizing team to streamline processes for the subsequent days of the festival. I had witnessed the enthusiasm and passion of the participants for scientific knowledge and learning. Interacted with a diverse group of students and educators, exchanging ideas and insights.I have received positive feedback from both participants and organizers regarding the smooth management of the examination process. Addressed minor logistical issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption during the examination process. The students are very curious with greater enthusiasm for finishing the exercises. Managed time constraints effectively to accommodate all participants within the scheduled timeframe.

 I was able to Enhanced organizational and multitasking skills through managing various aspects of the event simultaneously. I had gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of fostering scientific curiosity among the youth. I developed a stronger sense of teamwork and collaboration through working alongside dedicated volunteers and organizers.

Overall, the whole day of the Yureekka/Science Kerala Knowledge Festival was a fulfilling and enriching experience. I love working as an invigilator in such a way that to contribute those success of the event and inspiring young minds in their scientific pursuits. I feel very happy to share this diary report to include specific details or events that were significant during my B.Ed. course.
