Day 29- 25/09/2024
Daily Reflection:
Today, I arrived at school at 9:00 a.m., signed in at the headmaster's office, and got ready for the day. The school day officially began with a prayer at 9:25 a.m., followed by regular classes starting at 9:30 a.m. My first session was with the Standard 9 class, where we covered the transport of nutrients through the blood. Later, we continued with Chapter 2, discussing the heart, its structure & function, later continued the lesson topics till pulse and blood pressure. I taught around four lessons, two in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Before lunch, I took a lesson for Standard 8, where I introduced a new chapter titled "Let's Regain Our Fields." We discussed key issues such as food security, food scarcity, and the current crisis in the agricultural sector.
It was a hectic day, as I ended up teaching five lessons because two teachers were on leave, and I had to take on extra periods, rather than my usual three. All were rushed due to youth festival commencing tomorrow in our school. Despite the extra workload, the students were engaged, and we made solid progress in both classes. The discussions, especially on how the heart functions, were lively, and the lessons went smoothly. Overall, it was a productive day, and I left school around 3:30 p.m., after signout in the headmaster's cabin. I felt accomplished with what we achieved.
