Day 31 - 27/09/2024
Daily reflection :
Today was a fulfilling and productive day. I arrived at school at 9:00 am and started by signing in at the headmaster's cabin. I then took some time to prepare in the library before the morning prayer at 9:25 am. Classes commenced at 9:30 am. Today was a particularly busy day. I started with the first period for Standard 8, continuing our lesson on fertile soil and fertilizers. After that, I had two back-to-back lessons with Standard 9, where we wrapped up the topics related to the heart such that double circulation and health of heart just before the lunch break.
Lunch was around 12:30 p.m., and after a quick refresh, I resumed teaching Standard 9. This time, we shifted focus to transport in plants, exploring the tissues and mechanisms involved. By the end of the day, I had successfully finished the second chapter of biology for them.
Due to the school youth festival yesterday, I had missed some periods, but I managed to catch up today thanks to the extra periods. With two teachers on leave, I also took on additional classes, making the day more packed than usual, but it allowed me to cover five lessons instead of my usual three.
Despite the hectic schedule, the students were engaged and attentive throughout. The discussions, especially about the heart, went smoothly and also laid a solid foundation for the rest of their studies. By the time I left school around 3:30 p.m., I signed out from the school feeling much tired . But, I felt satisfied with the progress made and the understanding the students showed.
