Day 35 -08/10/2024

Daily Reflection

Today, I reached the school at 9:00 AM, signed in, and began preparing for the day’s lessons. I had 1st for 8th standard ,where I taught them about the topics of pesticides and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). The students were engaged and curious about the different methods used in pest control and how sustainable practices like IPM help in reducing chemical use.

In the 4th period , I taught other lesson for 8th standard, we focused on topics related to integrated farming, sustainable agriculture, and waste management. We discussed how these methods contribute to long-term agricultural productivity while maintaining ecological balance. Also discussed about various eco-friendly wste management approaches and their advantages using vedios and PPT .

During the lunch break arround 12:30 pm, I had time to review some materials for the practical session planned for the afternoon.

In the afternoon, I took the 8th-standard students to the school's farming area, where I demonstrated real-life applications of biofertilizers and biological pest control. Also how can we practice integrated farming using available land area and resources. It was a hands-on learning experience, where they could see the concepts of IPM and sustainable agriculture in action. The students were quite excited to apply what they had learned in the classroom to the field.

After the session, I wrapped up the day by reviewing the students’ responses and feedback before signing out at 4:00 PM.
