Day 3 - 06/11/2024
On my third day of teaching practice, I arrived at 9:00 am and signed in at the headmaster's office. Afterward, I was directed to the designated sitting area in the school’s library hall.
My teaching day began with an engaging session in the third period in Class 8F, where I delivered Lesson Plan 2 on Taxonomic Keys and Taxonomy. The students were highly attentive, showing their usual curiosity and enthusiasm. Their eagerness to grasp these foundational concepts made the session interactive and rewarding, building my confidence and helping me refine my teaching skills.
Around 12:30 pm, it was time for lunch, and I joined in serving lunch to the students. With over 500 students, including those in higher secondary classes, it was a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
In the afternoon, during the fifth period, I continued with Lesson Plan 3, focusing on the History of Taxonomy. I discussed the contributions of various renowned taxonomists, sparking interest and questions from the students, which deepened their appreciation for the topic. Their engagement reaffirmed the importance of connecting historical perspectives with scientific concepts.
Overall, it was a productive and insightful day, adding further depth to my teaching journey.
