Overall Self-Reflection on Teaching Practice

My teaching internship journey has been an incredibly transformative experience, spanning 90 days across four different schools. Each phase of my teaching practice contributed significantly to my professional growth, shaping me into a more confident, adaptable, and reflective educator. I am deeply grateful for the diverse learning environments, students, and faculty members who enriched my experience at every step.

Diverse School Experiences

Key Learnings and Professional Growth

Lesson Planning & Delivery: Over the course of 90 days, I meticulously prepared and delivered structured lesson plans, ensuring that learning objectives were met effectively.

Teaching Models & Innovative Methods: I successfully applied Concept Attainment Model, IV Model, and Inquiry Training Model, which helped in making lessons more student-centered, interactive, and inquiry-driven.

Student Engagement & Remedial Teaching: I actively worked on improving student participation, addressing their doubts through individualized and remedial teaching sessions.

Classroom Management & Adaptability: Handling different classes and school environments taught me flexibility, patience, and effective communication, enabling me to create an inclusive and disciplined classroom atmosphere.

Assessment & Feedback: I learned to use various assessment tools to measure student learning outcomes, which helped me refine my teaching methods based on their needs and responses.

Collaboration & Professional Development: Interacting with supervising teachers, mentors, and colleagues allowed me to gain valuable feedback, improve my lesson delivery, and adopt best teaching practices.

Expressing Gratitude & School Community Bonding: The final day celebrations at St. Joseph HSS, where we expressed gratitude to teachers and staff with sweets and chai, reaffirmed the strong teacher-student relationship and the sense of belonging within the school community.


A Grateful Conclusion

Reflecting on this entire journey, I feel immense gratitude for the opportunity to teach, learn, and grow through these internships. Each school provided me with unique challenges and learning experiences, strengthening my confidence as a future educator. The real classroom exposure has given me the skills, insights, and motivation to continue my journey in the teaching profession with passion, dedication, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
